Congratulations to the Bronco Band for earning 4th place at the Vista Ridge Marching Festival last night! The band competed against 25 programs placing 2nd in 6a and 3rd overall in pre-lims. During finals, the band again came out 2nd in 6A and placed 4th overall after a tiebreak for 3rd place. Our percussion section won Outstanding Percussion in both pre-lims and finals! We now take the show back to Austin for the extremely competitive Texas Marching Classic. Outstanding job by all the students for their commitment and work thus far. 2 more weeks of our competitive season to go! THANK YOU! A very big thank you to all of our parent roadies and chaperones who helped this Saturday with setting our students up for success and keeping them safe! There is so much work that goes into this kind of production and parent support is the only way to create something special. We appreciate all of you so much. Additionally, we'd like to especially thank Mercy Aguirre and Jen Lasater for all of the time they spent making sure our student look amazing in their competition uniforms. They took time to steam and prepare each and every uniform before we kicked off contest season! So much time donated for all of our kids!

THANK YOU!!!! CRUSH Crush week is here! While it will be a great game there are a few announcements I'd like to make you aware of: ORANGE CRUSH - We are asking all of our supporters to come out wearing orange for this game! There's nothing like a sea of orange in the stands to show that you're a bronco and especially for this matchup. So show up, be loud, and wear your Bronco orange! COMPETITION UNIFORMS - While in the stands, our students will be wearing their band shirts to go along with our orange theme for the game. However when it's time for halftime, we will be putting on our contest uniforms to give our community, teachers/staff, and other non-band parents a chance to see the production your students have been working so hard on. We'll do our best to roll out all of the props and extras to give our best (shortened version due to time limits) representation of the entire show for halftime. TICKETS - Remember that tickets go on sale TONIGHT AT MIDNIGHT. They're expecting the game to sell out before school tomorrow so this will most likely be your only chance to get tickets. You can purchase tickets HERE. TEXAS MARCHING CLASSIC We now enter the week of the most competitive contest we'll participate in this year. Some of the best bands in the entire country will be at this contest. There will be 22 bands performing this Saturday and 10 will make finals. Report time will be 8 am for this contest and we are expected to be home at 2 am, pending any delays. The contest is expected to conclude at 11 pm. As usual, we will have students contact parents to give them updates STADIUM REHEARSAL As sent out last week, we are having a stadium rehearsal/clinic at Farris Stadium, Wednesday from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. If your student does NOT play tuba or is a percussionist, they may be picked up from the stadium that evening. Tubas and percussionists will need to return to school to help unload the trailers. There will NOT be rehearsal on Thursday morning. DISNEY PAYMENT #4 Payment #4 for our Disney World trip is now due. Please make your payment online HERE. ELIGIBILITY As discussed last week, the first 6-weeks grading period ended on Friday. Report cards will be distributed on Friday. If your student will need to use any waivers for P-AP or AP courses, they will need to have all paperwork signed and processed on Friday by 8th period. Any waiver not completed by then will not be processed. Any student who becomes ineligible will not travel with the band to any functions until their eligibility has been regained. SMUGMUG Don't forget that SmugMug is up and running for the 2019-20 school year! Thanks to Mr. Aigner-Varoz for taking so many photos of our kids and get them into our galley, which is free for you!
