A very special thank you to Mr. Chip Thompson and Mrs. Kristie Flores for chairing this event and doing so much work to set this up for success. There was a ton of help from so many people in our program. The list of logistics to run a contest like this is extensive and I hope you know how much we appreciate your time and work. I'd also like to thank Mr. Suarez for being the leader of this event. He started this event the 2nd year that Brandeis was open (2009) and has created quite the contest for all of Central & South Texas percussion programs. Congratulations on yet another successful event! BOOSTER MEETING This Tuesday is our monthly booster meeting. We will be having discussions as we have concluded our competitive marching season and move into the winter and spring. If you are available, please consider attending. Our parent organization and participation at these meetings are critical to our program. We will begin at 6 pm and the meeting will be about 45 minutes. This is a potluck as well so feel free to bring a dish to share! PAVERS Don't forget that this year we are offering custom engraved pavers that will be placed outside of the fine arts area. 3 lines of custom text including your student’s or family name can be engraved as a keepsake and make a great holiday gift. This is available for all current and alumni of Brandeis! If you know anyone who may be interested, please pass this information along. For more information or to order your custom paver, please click HERE. REGION JAZZ CLINIC & CONCERT This week will be the All Region Jazz Clinic & Concert. This will take place at Brandeis and is for those students who made the All Region Jazz bands in September. Please check the calendar below for details of rehearsals and the concert. Again, this is only for those students who made the All Region Jazz ensembles. If you have any questions regarding this contest, please contact Mr. Cuellar. OBJECTIVES This is the last week for student to complete their wind/percussion objectives. They have had these since the 1st of week of this grading period and are due by Wednesday. Remember that students can retest as many times as possible for as high of a grade as possible. Please have your student see a director to schedule a time. FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS Congratulations to Coach Branscom, coaches, trainers and students on an undefeated football season! Having such a successful program pushes all of us in our pursuit of excellence.
