Good afternoon everyone!

Congratulations to all of our seniors who are graduating this evening! It has been an honor to serve you in the program. All of the band staff wishes you the best of luck in the next chapter of your life!

BLT LEADERSHIP CAMP

On Monday & Tuesday, we will be having our BLT Leadership Camp in the band hall. Each day will go from 9 am - 4 pm, with an hour for lunch. If you haven’t taken care of your student’s tuition, please do so HERE today. Leadership team needs to arrive at 8:15 am wearing their alternate uniform shirt. Shorts or jeans are fine for bottoms.

MUSIC MEMORIZATION CHECKLIST

Over the next few weeks, it’s extremely important that each wind and percussion student has part 1 and 2 of the show memorized. The following checklist has been created for students to complete up until the first day of camp, July 29th. Please print THIS CHECKLIST and follow the instructions.

MARCHING BAND UNIFORM TOP

All marching band tops for returning members and new members should have been paid for by today. If you have yet to do so, please take care of that HERE. We CANNOT order your student’s custom top if it hasn’t been paid for.

CORRECTION: In last week’s newsletter, I put JULY 8 as the deadline for incoming members. That was a mistake on my part. It is June 8th as was explained at the Band 101 meeting and music camp.

UNIFORM FITTING

All returning students who did NOT get fitted for their custom uniform last week need to do so on Monday. The fitting will take place from 2 pm - 4 pm. Make sure you are wearing athletic shorts and a t-shirt to be fitted. You can access the uniform room via the hallway by the student restrooms. Do not enter through the band hall as we will be having leadership camp.

DISNEY WORLD 2020

Disney deposits are due next Saturday, June 15, 2019. Remember that these deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE. If you’d like to reserve a spot now, you can do so HERE. Also, I received word that Southwest Airlines will have fares for us in early July. Please be patient as we work to get this number finalized.

As for the trip payment schedule, here is what will be due, when:

Payment 2 - July 15 - $300

Payment 3 - September 1 - $300

Payment 4 - October 1 - $300

Payment 5 - November 1 - $300

Payment 6 - December 1 - Balance of the trip.

Barring any special announcements, you will not be receiving a newsletter from me until the week of July 21st. Please be sure to check the calendar below for this week’s events and as always, if you have any questions, please feel free to email me at Daniel.Asgari@nisd.net.
