(Photo Credit: Erika Aigner-Varoz) Congratulations to the Bronco Band for earning 8th place at this year's Texas Marching Classic in Austin yesterday. This contest included some of the best bands in the country and was easily our most competitive contest of the year. We're very proud of the work they've put in thus far and look forward to taking this momentum into UIL and having a great performance! THANK YOU There is a huge amount of effort, care and time that go into taking care of our kids and putting them in a position to be successful. I have to make sure and thank all of our parents who are so important to what we do as a program. Our roadies, prop crew, videographer, chaperones, uniform parents, meal crew, and drivers all play a special part in what we do. Every weekend you've selflessly given to the program and the staff and students appreciate it so much. Thank you! FULL PROGAM MEETING We will have a full program member meeting on Tuesday morning at 8 am. This meeting is REQUIRED for all student members. Please be sure to arrive on time. FALL DINNER On Tuesday last week, tickets for our Fall Dinner (taking place on October 29) went home with students. Each student received 8 tickets to sell, at the price of $8 each. Last year, the program had a record year, selling over 950 tickets. The students and staff will talk this week to determine our program goal for this year. With the goal, we will also discuss a possible contest among the students as well. ALL MONEY & UNSOLD TICKETS ARE DUE TUESDAY, OCTOBER 22nd, AND NEED TO BE HANDED TO ME, PLEASE. It is extremely important to have all tickets returned by this date so we can see how large a crowd we need to prepare food for. STADIUM REHEARSAL/CLINIC This week we will have a stadium rehearsal and clinic with Mr. Spicer and Mr. Boughton on Tuesday. We will rehearse from 5 pm - 7:15 pm. Remember that tubas and percussion need to return to the school to unload but all other students may be picked up from the stadium. It is a short week with tomorrow being a holiday and our football game being Thursday, so we will have rehearsal on Wednesday morning. UIL This Saturday will be UIL and our final contest performance of the season. This will be the last time to see the entire production in a contest environment for the 2019 season. We perform at 6:50 pm at Farris stadium. Show up, wear your show shirts, and support the Bronco Band! DISNEY PAYMENT #4 Payment #4 for our Disney World trip is now due. Please make your payment online HERE. SMUGMUG Don't forget that SmugMug is up and running for the 2019-20 school year! Thanks to Mr. Aigner-Varoz for taking so many photos of our kids and get them into our galley, which is free for you! To see pictures taken so far, please visit BrandeisBand.SmugMug.com.
