Director’s Newsletter #15-19, December 8, 2019 Good morning! Here is what you will find in this week's newsletter: •REGION BAND AUDITIONS RESULTS •FOOTBALL CONGRATULATIONS •FIREHOUSE SUBS BAND NIGHTS •THANK YOU REGION BAND AUDITIONS Congratulations to the Bronco Band who had 42 students earn entry into the 2019/20 TMEA All Region 29 Band on Saturday. Of the 42 who earned All Region Honors, 18 of those students earned All Area honors and will be auditioning for a chair in the TMEA All State ensembles in January. In addition to those 42 students from Saturday, on Friday we had an additional 16 students earn chairs in the Freshman Region ensemble. With this come performances for these students. Some of the All Area students will be performing with the Region Orchestra this weekend. Please be sure to check the schedule below for that information. The coaching staff has put together a great team and we were proud to be a part of their historic run. We look forward to next fall! FIREHOUSE SUBS BAND NIGHTS This week we will have 3 Band Spirit Nights at Firehouse Subs, located at 11600 Bandera Rd, next to Academy. Spirit nights will be 12/9 - 12/11, Monday - Wednesday from 6 pm - 8 pm. A portion of all sales on those days between those times will be donated to the band program! Please make time to visit Firehouse Subs one of those evenings! More information on the flyer below!

THANK YOU Lastly, I'd like to thank all of our wonderful parents who volunteered this football season in any way. The amount of work you do with uniforms, concessions, chaperoning, roading, building props, feeding our kids, setting up fundraisers and dinners, selling spirit items, handling booster memberships, decorating the band hall for UIL, running our drumline festival, selling Bronco cards and planners...the list goes on and on. Thank you for taking care of ALL OF OUR KIDS. Our students follow the lead of adults and it's very important that we know that the things we do are for them.
